Manuel Pires de Matos is a Partner at Grant Thornton Portugal and has been a Statutory Auditor since 1991, with extensive experience in audit, statutory audit, and financial advisory services.
Throughout his career, he has advised companies across a wide range of industries and has also served on supervisory and oversight bodies of corporate and institutional organisations.
His expertise includes, in particular:

- Corporate supervision and oversight;
- Membership of executive, supervisory, and audit boards.
He has a strong academic background, having lectured at university level for more than two decades in the fields of accounting, auditing, and management.

He holds a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and has been a Statutory Auditor since 1991.
